Creators of Post Script, made with vocals by the late Mark E Smith, defend it as \u2018a great, positive record\u2019, but fiancee describes it as \u2018ethically wrong\u2019<\/p>\n
The fiancee and last manager of the late Mark E Smith, frontman of the Fall, has hit out against the release of an album being marketed as the band\u2019s final official album, calling it \u201cethically wrong\u201d and a \u201ccash grab\u201d.<\/p>\n
When Post Script was first announced in June, several media reports assumed the nine-track album contained recordings that the final Fall lineup were working on before the singer\u2019s death, in January 2018. However, it subsequently emerged that it contains unused studio vocals recorded between 2001 and 2014, to which longtime Fall associates Ed Blaney and Simon \u201cDing\u201d Archer have posthumously added music.<\/p>\n
