Since the start of Israel\u2019s war on Gaza in 2023, <em>Staatsr\u00e4son<\/em> has manifested itself as German military aid to Israel and heavy policing of Palestine activism inside Germany.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGermany\u2019s guilt regarding the Holocaust\u201d has been \u201cabused to justify the support of the genocidal war of Israel against the population in Gaza,\u201d says Berlin-based lawyer Alexander Gorski, who recently represented the \u201cBerlin Four,\u201d three European Union citizens and one United States citizen whom Germany attempted to deport for participating in pro-Palestine campus protest.
