This isn\u2019t just a one-night deal for O\u2019Brien; he\u2019s been writing jokes for the show with his staff since the end of last year, and has been on an exhausting weeks-long press tour for the ceremony. And, to put it into perspective, in 2010 \u2013 when he became host of the Tonight Show, then lost the Tonight Show, then received a settlement from NBC \u2013 it\u2019s estimated that he made close to $40 million.<\/p>\n
